Insight Associates provides assistance to our clients in crisis situations.
If you have an urgent need to reach your therapist or coach you may call our primary business phone number which rings the Clinical Director's cell phone at 828-400-0722.
Other staff therapists and coaches will provide you with their direct contact information.
Confidential messages can be left for the Clinical Director, C. Richard Panther, via his Workplace Solutions voicemail at 828-497-9180. Messages are checked throughout the business day (9AM-5PM).
A client is not required to contact Insight Associates prior to seeking emergency care. However, the client or a family member should contact Insight Associates as soon after the incident as possible.
Since we rely on a messaging system that may be limited by uncontrollable factors such as mountainous topography, weather conditions, and technical problems, the following resources should be used if necessary:
-Call 911 in emergencies when someone’s safety is at risk (including your own).
-The Smoky Mountain Center’s Balsam Center in Waynesville can be contacted for psychological emergencies at 1-800-849-6127. The Balsam Center is Western North Carolina's area provider of emergency services and is available 24 hours per day.
-The National Suicide Hotline is available 24-hours per day at 1-800-784-2433 and 1-800-273-8255.
-The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indian’s Analenisgi Program provides behavioral health services to tribal members during normal business hours. Their phone number is 828-497-6892.
-NC Substance Abuse Helpline is available at 1-877-4HELPNC.
-Your local hospital emergency room can also provide guidance in cases of psychological emergency. Haywood Regional Hospital Emergency Room: 828-456-7311
