Some of these feelings or situations might include the following:
Depression- A period of sadness, or feeling down, possibly with frequent crying and decreased energy, less interest in pleasurable activities, and increased irritability or anger.
Anxiety- Excessive worry or nervousness that persistently disturbs you; possibly accompanied by panic attacks and/ or physical symptoms like sleeplessness, headaches, or stomach problems.
Aging- Most of us have different concerns than we had 10 years ago. Priorities change and our ways of dealing with life will likely need to change as well.
Relationship Conflicts- An increasing number of conflicts and/ or increasing severity of conflicts in our lives.
Adjustment to Change- Any major change in your life situation that causes you distress; like divorce, death of a family member of friend or even having a child or getting a job promotion.
Trauma- Experiencing of an extremely difficult and scary life situation either by yourself personally or witnessing it happen to someone else. Thoughts of the incident intrude upon you when awake and when you sleep, in the form of dreams.
Limited Control- Inability to stop or control use of specific activities resulting in problems for you and your family. Some of these activities might involve drugs, alcohol, gambling, sex, eating, spending, etc.
Physical Changes- Personal illness, weight gain or loss, generally not "feeling well" despite having no indication of a medical cause.

1. Psychotherapy is a process of changing those thoughts and beliefs that limit our happiness.
Gaining awareness of our style of thinking and behaving is an important step in improving our lives.
Learning new strategies is the next step in this process.
This is the firm foundation upon which to build a more healthy and satisfying life.
Questions are gradually replaced by answers that are developed and practiced in sessions. Confidence and clarity continue to grow.
Our staff use a variety of approaches and techniques to facilitate this process as smoothly as possible. Some of these may include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, and Solution-Focused techniques.
Developing insight into our behavior and making healthy changes is the basis of Psychotherapy.
2. Counseling is the primary method for improving a person's ability to solve problems that affect their emotional lives.
Some level of distress is present and the goal is to help the individual return to a healthy level of ability and coping by dealing with their life situations.
Our interactive partnership provides any or all of the following: focus, support, motivation, challenge, and education. In many cases, the relationship becomes a model of how we can learn to work out issues that we face.
Telephone Counseling allows all sessions to be provide via telephone at a regularly scheduled time. This level of convenience is the most attractive feature of telephone counseling. Some restrictions on insurance reimbursement may apply; please contact your insurance company or Insight associates, to discuss your concerns.
3. Coaching is a partnership between a client who is working to reach a specific goal and their coach, using a process of measurable steps to get there.
It is not intended to address illness but rather to facilitate healthy growth and goal achievement.
Coaching is not concerned with past traumas or illness directly.
It focuses on what can be done in the present to attain goals now and in the future.
The Coaching process provides clarity:
-Assess the current state of your life
-Decide what kind of change is best for you
-Plan a new direction based on your goals
-Gather resources (new skills, plan, support),
-Make the changes
-Verify over time that you are going in your chosen direction.
This is often a daunting undertaking that is made easier with a helping partnership.
We provide you with skills to help you cope immediately while you advance toward your goals.
